Research & Evidence

Yes. AbleSpace is certified by Digital Promise for Research-Based Design, meeting ESSA Tier 4 evidence standards. This means every core feature in AbleSpace traces back to peer-reviewed, empirically validated research on special education workflows, progress monitoring, and teacher retention.

AbleSpace's design is grounded in 6 peer-reviewed studies published in journals such as the Journal of Learning Disabilities, Teaching and Teacher Education, Review of Educational Research, and Journal of Human Resources. These studies cover topics including data-based individualization, teacher burnout, progress monitoring graph interpretation, and parent communication.

We surveyed special education professionals — teachers, SLPs, OTs, and administrators — across urban, suburban, and rural school settings in 2026. The survey measured satisfaction, impact on documentation time, instructional decision-making, and likelihood of staying in the profession. All responses were anonymous.

AbleSpace has an NPS of +75, which is rated "Excellent." 81.3% of surveyed educators are Promoters (score 9–10), 12.5% are Passives, and only 6.3% are Detractors. This indicates that educators actively recommend AbleSpace to their peers.

Research shows that administrative burden — paperwork, billing, manual data collection — is the top modifiable factor driving special education teacher attrition. AbleSpace automates billing, documentation, and progress graph generation, allowing teachers to spend more time teaching. In our survey, 76.9% of educators reported reduced documentation time after using AbleSpace.

Yes. AbleSpace's Digital Promise certification for Research-Based Design (ESSA Tier 4) and its foundation in peer-reviewed research make it well-suited for grant applications that require evidence-based technology solutions, including Title I Part A, Title IV, and IDEA Part B funding.
